Definition:
WIP refers to the number of tasks that are still in progress (started but not yet completed).

How to Calculate:

  1. Identify all tasks that have been started during the period but are not yet completed.
  2. Count the total number of these tasks.

Example: If at the end of a 30-day period, you have 10 tasks that were started but not yet completed, the WIP at the end of the period would be 10 tasks.

Interpretation:
This metric helps teams see how much work is still pending or in progress as. A high WIP may indicate bottlenecks or inefficiencies in completing tasks.
